APITCO, since inception has been instrumental in the food & agricultural based industrial activities. The activities involved project development of Food Parks at Kuppam and Zaheerbad, and Mega food park at Chittoor, AP, Khargone Madhya Pradesh and Krishnagiri-Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu; Preparation of Detailed Project Report for Agri-Export Zone; Ginger processing Complex at Meghalaya, financial consultant for setting up of Modern Terminal Market (MTM) at Nagpur for Maharastra Government. More than a hundred food & agri industrial Projects have been appraised by the organization. The organization has successfully completed design and formulation as well as approvals and sanctions for Setting up of Modern Abattoirs at Five Locations in Hyderabad for the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).

On the institutional design from the organization has formulated Master Plan for setting up of Nagaland Food Technological Training Institute (NFTII), Kohima, Setting up of Centre for Centre for Training & Technology development of Herbs & Medicinal Plants’ (CTTH&M). Apart from these APITCO was involved in Moderniszation of Chittoor Fruit Processing Cluster; Modernisation of Mango Jelly Cluster, East Godavari; Study of Poultry Sector for APEDA. On the policy and programme evaluation front APITCO has prepared the Strategy for Food Processing Sector and evaluated the five year plans for the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Government of India. Capacity building & training in the segment is the forte of the training professionals at APITCO. The organization has conducted Skill and Technology Upgradation in Food processing; National Seminar on Opportunities in Food Processing Industries In association with CFTRI, Mysore, National Seminar on Post-Harvest Management of Crops and Cold Storages. APITCO has conducted International Seminar on Opportunities and Challenges in the Dairy Processing Industry, Market Survey on Demand Assessment for Coconut Products (Selective) in India National Convention on Emerging Opportunities in Bio-technology with focus on Food, Health and Agri Sectors; Workshop on trade, investment and technology opportunities in Herbal Sector.
